From Boka Waterfall to Srpenica 2 – The Classic Descent
This is the iconic Soča River experience.
The descent begins near the majestic Boka Waterfall, Slovenia’s highest, plunging 106 meters into the valley near the village of Žaga. From here, the river offers a perfect introduction: the first section is calm and open, giving you time to build confidence and learn the techniques needed for the rapids ahead.
As the river picks up pace, so does the excitement. The second half of the descent brings in more action—rolling rapids and vibrant energy—while still remaining accessible for intermediate paddlers.
This run is the foundation of all other routes on the Soča: it’s essential if you want to tackle the more technical sections later on.
